Ted Lea, 1948-49 Choker Football quarterback and basketball player, was also named to the Aberdeen High School Hall of Fame. While at GHC, he earned the team's inspirational award and the following year, he was named to the All-Conference Team. Later he played football at Central Washington University as a linebacker. Ted also served as an air corpsman. His career in education took place in the Wapato and Auburn School Districts. He served as an Auburn principal for 14 years and was assistant superintendent before his retirement in 1984.
