VANCOUVER, Wash. - The Northwest Athletic Conference has announced the 2023 All-NWAC Baseball awards. The awards include 1st and 2nd team selections along with Most Valuable Player, Coach and Assistant Coach of the Year, and Gold Glove award winners. The awards are based on regular season performance and does not include tournament statistics. Coach of the Year is awarded to the head coach of the championship winning team.
MVP: Garrett Gores, Spokane
Gores was the ultimate two-way player for the East Region champions Spokane, finishing with a 1.15 ERA in 86.1 innings pitched, striking out 92 batters to 19 walks and recording an 8-3 record. Offensively, Gores hit .344 with three home runs, 31 RBI and 31 runs scored while walking 33 times to 32 strikeouts.
