andrew.cook@ghc.edu 253.229.3555
As an athlete, Andrew is a three-time high school state champion and two time All American, making the ASICS All American Team in 1996. In freestyle and Greco roman wrestling he was a fifteen-time state champion FS/GR/FKS. He attended the University of Tennessee Chattanooga and North Idaho College achieving All Conference Honors in 1997 at 126 lbs. With his career being cut short due to injury and lifestyle, he started his coaching career in 1999. In Andrew's eighteen years of coaching he has produced many high school state champions, Multiple three and four-time high school state champions. In freestyle and Greco roman he has coached multiple national champions All Americans and World Team Members.
Over the past few years Andrew has accumulated recognition from USA Wrestling as the Western Developmental Coach of the Year and finalist for National Coach of the Year. In 2014, he earned a spot as apprentice coach for the United States World Wrestling Team taking him to Uzbekistan, he is currently a Gold Level Coach through USAW NCEP. Grays Harbor was a first-year program boasting 5 All American’s and two World Team Trials Placers with many more accolades to come.
Brett Pfarr

A four-time letter winner at the University of Minnesota, Brett Pfarr reached the Big Ten finals at 184 pounds as a redshirt sophomore, advancing to his first NCAA tournament. The following year, Pfarr bumped to 197 and became one of the best wrestlers in the nation, finishing third in the country with a record of 40-4, his only losses coming to wrestlers ranked in the top-four nationally. He was the first Gopher in almost a decade to win 40 matches in a season and had more major decisions in one year than any Gopher in the past 20 years (18). As a senior, Pfarr finished NCAA Runner up to Olympic Bronze Medalist and 3x NCAA Champion J’den Cox. He's also a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and a CoSIDA Academic All-American, majoring in agriculture and food business management.
Â
Michael Kroells

Michael Kroells had the unenviable assignment of following a legendary heavyweight when he entered Minnesota's starting lineup, but the four-time letter winner developed his own legacy as one of the greats in Gopher history. Kroells is a two-time All-American who is expected to reach the podium yet again as a heavyweight. He's currently one of 51 multiple-time All-Americans in Gopher history, and joined a list of just 22 others as a three-time All-American this year. Kroells has routinely wrestled the most matches and the most matches against ranked opponents each of his seasons in the starting lineup, so he has faced (and defeated) many of the nation's best. He has been recognized three times as Academic All-Big Ten and is also a CoSIDA Academic All-American as he pursues his degree in aerospace engineering.
