Aberdeen, WA - The Lady Chokers hosted Shoreline, Clackamas and Columbia Basin last weekend. Coach Adam Todd-Thomas shared prior to game one, "this is going to be a tough test for our young squad for all three of these teams are very tough and well coached." GHC took on Columbia Basin in the first game and were defeated 86-56. The team did play well throughout and were only down by 2 at the end of the 1st quarter. CBC got on a roll in the 2nd quarter in which the Chokers were not able to overcome.
Sheridan Green led the team with 15 points, 6 steals and 5 rebounds.
Abby Martinez and
Aaliyah Hill both scored 10 points.
The following day the Chokers played perennial powerhouse Clackamas CC (8-3). The Cougars took an early lead and led 54-22 at the half and went on to win 102-40.
Sheridan Green and
Aaliyah Hill both scored nine for GHC. The final game of the weekend was against Shoreline CC (7-3). The Chokers played a solid first half being down 46-37. SCC came out hot in the the third quarter and outscored GHC 31-9 to keep the the Chokers at bay throughout the rest of the game with the final score 91-49.
Elizabeth Serna led the team with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
