Grays Harbor Dropped both games on Friday to Clark College, but that didn't stop them from earning their spot in the the Conference Tournament!
Errors cost the Chokers both games in the heat of the day on Friday 5/10 as the temps reached the 90's. Game 1 the Chokers came back late in the game backed by a lead-changing grand slam by
Cayleigh White. However, the Chokers couldn't keep the Penguins off scoreboard and lost that lead the following inning. The Chokers ended up dropping the game 14-10 to the Penguins.
Game two was pretty close to the same story as the Chokers came back late, taking the lead by 1 in the top of the 7th inning, but errors cost them as the Penguins scored 2 runs to take the game off a few miscues by the Chokers.
The great news on the day is that the Chokers have EARNED their way into the NWAC Championships this coming week and weekend 5/16-5/19 at Delta Park in Portland, OR!
The schedule will be released early next week!
Go CHOKERS!
