The LCC Red Devils held off a late charge in the final two minutes of the game to spoil the Choker's Sophomore Night at Sam Benn Gym. The Red Devils led by 9 points with under 3 minutes to go before the Chokers went on a late lopsided run to tie the game with six seconds remaining. LCC's Michael Dupree did he best Tyus Edney impersonation catching the inbounds pass and driving the length of the floor for a toughly contested game winning shot leaving just .4 seconds on the game clock. Dupree ended the contest with 17 points but none were bigger than the last two, breaking the hearts of Choker fans and players alike.

The Chokers started all four sophomores for the special, season ending, "Sophomore Night". The sophomores that started and played their final games as Chokers included Brian Irion, Tyler Harrod, Jordan Dutton, and Bryan McGriff. McGriff ended his last game eerily similar to the rest of his games as a Choker. His totals ironically matched his season average, scoring 24 points and hauling in 9 rebounds. McGriff also hit, a near full court shot, as time expired at the end of first half play. Irion, Larkins, and Harrison also scored in double digits for the Chokers.
