Grays Harbor College Athletics is excited to welcome Virgil Matthews as the new Head Coach of the Men's Basketball program.

A native of Washington and a seasoned basketball professional, Matthews brings a strong mix of international playing experience and collegiate coaching insight. Following a successful professional career overseas, most notably in Germany, Coach Matthews returned to pursue coaching, where he quickly earned a reputation for player development, leadership, and an emphasis on culture and accountability.

Coach Matthews will hit the ground running as he prepares for the upcoming season and begins to build relationships across campus and the local community.

Prospective Athletes are invited to meet with Coach Matthews on Tuesday, June 17th from 1–3 p.m. in the GHC Gymnasium.
