Aberdeen, WA - The GHC men's and women's teams recently acknowledged their award recipients for the 2022-23 season.

A recap of the season saw the men's team capture their 7th straight Northwest Conference Championship with
Elijah Gandert being recognized as the events Outstanding Wrestler. The team also advanced 16 to the National Tournament. GHC ended up placing 9th with two All-Americans. Gandert was runner-up at 141. Teammate
Ian Campbell placed 8th, also at 141. Coach
Josh Pine also led the team to a 9-5 record on the season.
On the women's side, they also came home with a conference title. It being the second in three seasons. Coach
Kevin Pine was voted the NW Conference Women's Coach of the Year for the second time. The women advanced 11 to Nationals and came home with seven All Americans.
Renaeh Ureste pinned her way to a National title at 191. Placing 2nd was
Kali Hood (235). 3rd place finishers were
Aleyda Rodriguez 116,
Katie Gakin 170,
Megan Webster 191, and
Jojera Dodge at 235.
Aliya Hammons placed 4th at 109. Ureste and Gakin also earned Academic All-American status.
Grays Harbor College was recognized with the Collegiate Cup for having the top men's and women's program in the country at the conclusion of the national championship. This was based on the accumulated points garnered during the season at the National Duals (Women - 2nd place), West Regional Duals (Men - 2nd place) and National placement.
