The Grays Harbor College men's basketball team had an impressive weekend by going undefeated in two games. On Friday, November 30, they defeated Olympic College Rangers 87-69, followed by a 69-56 victory over Wenatchee Valley Knights at home on Saturday, December 1.
In their first game against the Rangers, Grays Harbor displayed strong offensive and defensive play, with
Josh Adamsel Jr. leading the way with 27 points.
Sal Savusa contributed 19 points, and
Matt Oryang had a great performance, with 12 points and 13 rebounds. The team's solid shooting, hitting 46.8% from the field and 75% from the free-throw line, allowed them to secure the win.
They carried their momentum into Sunday, the first home game of the season, against the Knights. Savusa led with 18 points, while Adamsel added 16. Oryang continued his strong weekend, posting 13 points and 14 rebounds. The team's balanced effort, including key contributions from
Kane Wood (8 points, 7 rebounds), helped them maintain their lead throughout the contest and close out the win.
Grays Harbor moves forward, with a record of 4-3, as they prepare for their next matchups in Edmonds this weekend. The team's resilience was key in securing the weekend sweep.
Grays Harbor College will host the NWAC Crossover Tournament December 13th to 15th. Grays Harbor Men's Basketball team will face off against three NWAC teams; Linn-Benton, Columbia Basin, and Bellevue College.
