Aberdeen - The GHC Women's Wrestling team is happy announce that Lisa Ellis will be joining the coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach this coming season.  "Lisa has had the experience and success at every level. We are looking forward to having her in the room to share her wealth of knowledge." said Coach Kevin Pine.  Ellis brings in a long resume of wrestling, grappling and MMA to the the program which will surely boost the team to the next level. The Chokers look to improve on last seasons 3rd place finish at the NCWA National Championships and will look to start off strong at the planned inaugural Community College National Invitational in 2021.

Lisa and husband Eddy own and run a Mixed Martial Arts gym called United Training Center in Olympia for the past 13 years. This is a multi functioning facility that offers Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Wrestling, NOGI Grappling, GI Jiujitsu & MMA classes. UTC has an amateur and Professional Competition team. They also own and run Little Mommas Kitchen. "This is a new innovative company that can provide you with ready made meals that are nutritious & delicious." said Ellis.

Lisa and Eddy have been married for ten years and have two children, a daughter and son ages 7 and 2.

Ellis is originally from Woodinville, WA and began wrestling in 1994.
